A Public Address (PA) system serves the purpose of amplifying human speech. At its most basic, it comprises a microphone, mixer, and loudspeakers. The process commences with the microphone (mic) which converts sound pressure into voltage. When you speak or sing into the mic, its magnetic force generates a small amount of voltage. This voltage is then directed to either a mixer or a loudspeaker for amplification. Once it undergoes amplification from a power amplifier, the voltage reaches a level high enough to drive the speakers, causing them to reproduce the changes in sound pressure initially captured by the microphone. The outcome is a significantly louder projection of the voice.
